Beau Rapley Guiding
Join Beau Rapley and his small team of local guides for a personalised, tailored experience. Some of Beau Rapley’s most popular experiences include a guided day hike on the Routeburn Track or a bike ride in the Wakatipu Basin.
The Routeburn Track is one of New Zealand’s Great Walks, offering dramatic mountain scenery, crystal-clear rivers, and Lord of the Rings filming locations. The hike begins with a gentle walk through red beech forest before climbing past glacial rivers, stunning viewpoints and the Bridal Veil Falls. After a picnic lunch with breathtaking valley views, those keen have the option to climb further to Falls Hut before descending back to picturesque Glenorchy.
The Wakatipu Basin boasts nearly 160km of scenic cycling trails, perfect for all abilities. As a professional cycling guide, Beau will tailor the ideal fully guided and vehicle-supported ride with high-quality e-bikes or standard bikes and transport provided. A popular ride starts in historic Arrowtown and, from there, follows the Arrow River to the Kawarau Bridge – famous for bungy jumping – before continuing to Gibbston Valley for a wine tasting and lunch. Longer trails are available on request, such as the now famous Dunstan Trail.
Additionally, Beau Rapley Guiding also conduct private Central Otago wine tours, off-road adventures, heli hiking options, Milford or Mt Cook tours, and farm tours.
