Mt Mulligan Lodge
With the backdrop of its majestic 18-kilometre-long sandstone namesake, Mt Mulligan Lodge offers laid-back luxury in Queensland's rugged outback.
A member of the Luxury Lodges of Australia, the lodge is set on a 28,000-hectare (69,000 acre) working cattle station and invites just 28 guests to explore a landscape rich in indigenous heritage and history. The property showcases the legacy of the gold and coal rush and the pastoral heritage of Australia. Guests can enjoy guided tours of the Tyrconnell Gold Mine, explore the historic Mount Mulligan coal mine and township, embark on ATV adventures, or experience barramundi fishing and sunset drinks. Self-guided walks and a working cattle station experience are also available.
Mt Mulligan Lodge is accessible by a 35-minute helicopter flight or fixed-wing charter, or a 2.5-hour 4WD journey from Cairns. Accommodation include gourmet meals, premium wines, beers, and non-alcoholic beverages, an all-inclusive minibar and snacks, a daily curated outback experience, and unlimited use of paddle boards, kayaks, light fishing gear and electric buggies.
